James has spent his career working a number of positions across the shipping and logistics sector ever since leaving school, where he first started his journey working in his grandfather’s ship agency and chartering business. Over the years, he has built related experience across various industries including oil & gas, events and exhibitions, and general freight forwarding, and has spent more than 18 years based in the Middle East. In 2017, he was instrumental in establishing the CARS Middle East operations and developed the regional business from small office into the region’s leading specialist in automotive logistics and storage.

Following The Rock-It Company’s acquisition of CARS in 2022, James was elevated to lead the group’s businesses across the Middle East region. He is now responsible for driving growth across all of The Rock-It Company brands and end markets in the region, building strategic partnerships, and helping develop world-class facilities that support Rock-It’s live events and luxury good logistics services across live touring, sports, productions, experiential, automotive, fine art and beyond.

Outside of the office, James is married with three children. He’s a self-proclaimed failed golfer, an even more failed cricketer, and a lifelong rugby fan, now mostly living those sports through his children. When he’s not traveling, you can find him cooking on the BBQ, planning his next trip, or hunting down a great meal with friends and family.
