Dave is the Chief Operating Officer of The Rock-It Company and Managing Director of International. In his role, he oversees and unites our global operations, leads our Technology team, drives our platform integration, and provides strategic leadership across all international offices, while adding a specific focus on our UK and EU businesses.

Dave’s career spans over 25 years across the logistics industry. His career with Rock-It began at DIETL in 1999. As General Manager he was instrumental in growing the brand alongside Fritz Dietl. Over the years he has played a pivotal role in developing our global operating system, CargoScience, and has led significant technological advancements for both DIETL and Rock-It Cargo. Recently Dave has focused on building our global platform, working to increase our network efficiency.

Dave has an extensive background in the fine art logistics industry. He began his career as an art handler, eventually transitioning into administration and management roles. Dave has worked at prestigious organizations such as US Art Company, Christie’s, and DIETL, where he became a licensed US Customs Broker and was General Manager for many years.

Dave is married to Julie Preston, Director of Strategic Development at DIETL. He has five children and an 11-lb. Havanese named Dusty. Dave lives in London and enjoys preparing Sunday roasts, live music, audiobooks, and exploring Europe with his family, often for little league baseball tournaments.
